Travel-planning update: October 28, 2026. Hotel and transfer figures below are dated quotes supplied by NagaWorld on September 30–October 1, not live availability guarantees.
An international poker trip starts long before the first hand. Flights, hotel nights, airport transfers and money tied up in a refundable deposit all affect the travel budget. Build those costs first, then set a separate amount for poker that does not depend on winning back the airfare.

Choose your events before choosing flights
WPT’s official announcement lists a festival at NagaWorld Integrated Resort in Phnom Penh from January 12–February 2, 2027. It lists the WPT Prime Cambodia Championship for January 22–26 and the WPT Cambodia Championship for January 27–February 1. Check the current organizer schedule for starting flights, registration rules and any later playing days before buying a return ticket.
Start with the official WPT announcement and NagaWorld’s poker information. The festival schedule supplied by NagaWorld is a planning reference; confirm that you have its latest version.
Compare baggage, connection risk, total journey time and change conditions alongside airfare. Leave room to recover from the journey and to remain longer if your selected event continues beyond its first day.
Compare the official hotel offer first
NagaWorld Poker Operations Manager Christopher Paul Gros supplied the following quotes and conditions in September 30–October 1 correspondence. Check the current offer and your written booking confirmation before relying on them; these figures have not been independently reconfirmed as available on October 28.
| Quoted item | Details supplied by NagaWorld |
|---|---|
| Naga 2 nightly rate | US$55, with taxes and fees included |
| Naga 1 nightly rate | US$105, with taxes and fees included |
| Eligible stay window | January 10–February 4, 2027 |
| Special-rate booking deadline | January 30, 2027, subject to availability |
| Incidental deposit | Approximately US$50 per day; unused balance refunded after applicable charges |
Use the official WPT special room offer. Christopher advised that tournament participation is not required for this room offer and that cancellation is permitted until check-in. Obtain the precise cancellation deadline, occupancy, room category, inclusions and no-show conditions in your reservation confirmation rather than assume every booking has identical terms.
For an illustrative seven-night stay using those quoted rates, room charges would be US$385 at Naga 2 or US$735 at Naga 1. An approximately US$350 incidental deposit would be additional money to have available, not automatically another US$350 of spending. Ask how a cash deposit or card hold is collected and released.
Keep package benefits separate from your playing budget
NagaWorld also supplied Marathon and High Roller package links, with January 12 booking deadlines stated in its October 1 correspondence, subject to availability. Credits and accommodation benefits depend on the particular qualifying registrations and package conditions. Check the complete price, required events, refund conditions and included nights directly. Do not increase poker spending just to obtain a hotel benefit.
Plan the KTI airport transfer before arrival
Use Techo International Airport (KTI) when checking Phnom Penh international arrivals. Consult the airport’s official transportation guide and app information for taxi, ride-app and rental-car options, pickup procedures and current instructions. Compare the final quote for your destination, party and luggage; no fixed journey time or taxi fare is promised here.
Christopher quoted US$35 one way for a NagaWorld H1 vehicle transfer requested through a direct hotel-booking confirmation. Treat that as an October 1 quote and reconfirm vehicle capacity, luggage space, pickup location and total price. NagaWorld’s official transfer/concierge information provides the direct reservation contact. For broader airport information, Christopher also supplied the Cambodia Airports website; use KTI’s own information for the airport actually on your ticket.
Check passport, visa and e-Arrival separately
Review the rules for your nationality using the official Cambodian visa service. The U.S. State Department’s Cambodia guidance lists six months of passport validity beyond arrival and a blank entry-stamp page for U.S. travelers. Check the current advisory and entry guidance again before departure, including advice affecting routes near the Thailand border.
The official visa service directs travelers to submit Cambodia e-Arrival within the seven days before arrival, including travelers who already have a visa. Use arrival.gov.kh and its official Cambodia e-Arrival app; e-Arrival is separate from checking whether you need a visa. Christopher recommended the app’s reusable-profile/template features for repeat visits: use those features where available, but check every trip’s details and complete its required submission. Follow the current official instructions and save the resulting confirmation for arrival.
NagaWorld advised that tournament and casino visitors must be at least 18 and present a valid government-issued passport. Confirm nationality and other casino-entry restrictions directly with the venue. A hotel reservation does not establish eligibility to play.
Leave time and money for the rest of the trip
Keep meals, local transport, connectivity and sightseeing on separate budget lines. Check current operator prices for the experiences you actually want. If Angkor Wat is part of the plan, treat Siem Reap as a separate trip leg with its own transport, accommodation, temple admission and return journey; do not squeeze it into a tournament break.
