Playing a Borgata poker series? The best room is the one that fits your schedule and total trip cost. Borgata is at 1 Borgata Way in Atlantic City, away from the Boardwalk hotel cluster. Check the Borgata poker page for current series details before making a nonrefundable booking.
Where to stay for Borgata poker
Staying at Borgata or MGM Tower makes a quick return to your room easy between sessions. Compare those rates with other Atlantic City properties, then add the cost and time of getting back to Borgata each day. A cheaper room across town may still work well if you drive; a late finish can make a long transfer feel much less attractive.
Flights and ground transportation
Compare Atlantic City airport (ACY) with Philadelphia (PHL), including flight times, baggage, rental car or transfer, and the trip from airport to hotel. If driving, check current parking rules and prices. Borgata lists its parking options here.
How to compare Borgata poker hotels
| Stay option | Why consider it | What to compare |
|---|---|---|
| Borgata or MGM Tower | Convenience between sessions and after a late finish | Full stay total, room terms, resort fees and parking |
| Another Atlantic City hotel | More room and price options for your dates | Round-trip transport to Borgata each playing day, plus time away from the tables |
| A longer drive from the venue | May suit travelers already bringing a car | Driving time, parking, fuel and whether the journey still works after a long session |
Compare the same nights, occupancy and cancellation terms. A lower advertised nightly rate is not automatically a cheaper poker trip. Add hotel taxes and fees, daily transport and any extra night needed for a possible day-two finish.
Frequently asked questions
Should I stay at Borgata for a poker tournament?
Choose an on-site stay when the convenience is worth the difference in total cost. Compare nearby alternatives when the savings still hold after transport and parking. Check the actual route to the poker room rather than relying only on map distance.
Where do I find tournament hotel discounts?
Check the official tournament information for any published hotel offer, then compare it with public rates for the same room and terms. Do not assume a tournament rate is available or cheaper until you verify it.

Hotel access, parking and fees: checked October 12, 2026
Borgata: an on-property stay avoids a daily drive back to the casino. MGM Tower: the official hotel description confirms direct access to Borgata; consult the property map for the route to the poker room. Walking time varies with your room and entrance.
Parking: Borgata currently lists $10 self-parking and $15 valet per visit. Overnight guests receive a one-time fee and in/out privileges within the same parking type for their stay. Qualifying rewards benefits differ by tier. Check official parking terms before arrival.
Fees: the hotel FAQ lists a $3 daily state casino occupancy charge and $2 daily tourism promotion charge plus applicable tax. Confirm the additional resort fee in your selected reservation terms.
Cancellation: the general hotel FAQ describes 48-hour notice and a first-night room-and-tax penalty for late cancellation. Your specific offer or booking channel may have different terms. Review the official hotel FAQ and the final rate conditions.
Can I walk from a Boardwalk hotel to Borgata?
Do not treat a straight-line map distance as a safe walking route. Compare the actual route and a late-night rideshare or driving option before choosing an off-property stay.
